Roundoak Farm produces fine wool from
Shetland, Tunis, Dorset, and Bluefaced
Leicester sheep. You will find these fibers
here in roving and batt form as well as my
handspun yarns.
Althought we are not 'certified' we are as
organic as is practical.
You will also find other fibers such as Mohair,
Alpaca, Llama, and other breeds of wool from
sheep. I purchase these fibers from local
farms where I know how the animal is being
raised and the farming practices being used.
Hopefully, I will be able to instill a curiosity (if
not a down right love) for these fibers and the
animals that produce them.
